In short: Sights GPS does not collect, store or share your personal data. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Everything you save stays on your iPhone.

Who we are

Location

With your permission, the app uses your device's location to show sights near you, find sights along your route and give turn-by-turn directions. If you allow it, location is also used in the background while you are actively navigating, so directions continue when the screen is locked. Your location is processed on your device and is never sent to us.

Apple Maps

Maps, place search and directions are provided by Apple's MapKit. When you search or request a route, the search text, route endpoints and (if permitted) your location are sent to Apple to provide those results. Apple handles that information under its own privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy. We do not receive it.

Data stored on your device

Your settings, saved routes, trip stops, and the star ratings and notes you add to sights are stored only on your iPhone. The sight database is bundled with the app. Deleting the app deletes all of this data.

Data we collect

None. We do not operate servers for this app, and the app contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking code. If you email us for support, we use your email address and message only to reply to you.

Children

The app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
